Education Administration

The Education Administration is responsible for preschool, primary school, after-school care, high school, adult education, and student health. About 1100 employees work here to create a safe and developing school and childcare.

Köpingebro School

Köpingebro School is a F-6 school with activities for children aged 6-13 years. The school is located 200 meters from the train station in Köpingebro and has about 400 students.

The school is beautifully situated near forests, the sea, and the municipality's nature school Marietorp. Our large schoolyard offers various opportunities for activities that promote play and movement, including an artificial grass field, an obstacle course, a large play area, and well-equipped playgrounds. We have a full-sized sports hall, an open library, and a school restaurant that serves students nutritious meals every day.

The work teams are divided into grades F-3, grades 4-6, and after-school care for grades F-6.

Each age group works in interdisciplinary teams consisting of various professionals such as teachers, leisure educators, preschool teachers, and educational resources. The teams are adapted to needs, and no team is identical to another. The team's mission is to create the best possible teaching situation for all students, and groups change according to needs and development. The team's mission is also to plan so that all resources are used in the best way.

We focus on creating accessible and inspiring learning environments that promote students' development and learning. We have very good access to digital tools.

The school has a student health team consisting of the principal, assistant principal, special educator, special teacher, school nurse, school counselor, and school psychologist.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Köpingebro School is expanding with a teaching position and is looking for someone with a strong drive and commitment to develop teaching qualities. Most importantly, our students' learning and development!

As a teacher, your main task will be to conduct teaching and perform tasks related to the teaching. Currently, we have a need to expand with efforts in reading. Teaching will take place in different grades based on needs and the implementation of assessments/screenings.

You will not have mentorship but will have greater responsibility for follow-up in our quality work and support for colleagues in various areas depending on our development areas. You will occasionally lead pedagogical conferences in prioritized development areas and support colleagues in the development of teaching.

Those applying for this position need to be well-versed in the school's governing documents, feel that you are already a role model in your teaching, and possess a collaborative ability that contributes to leading processes forward.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for a certified teacher with qualifications for grades F-6.

Furthermore, we want you to have a very good ability to design teaching in accordance with the curriculum and have demonstrated a particularly good ability to improve students' academic results and have a strong interest in developing teaching.

It is an advantage if you have experience in systematic quality work and have good skills in analysis work as well as experience and ability to lead and inspire colleagues in development work. You need to have experience and be confident in leading conferences.

It is also an advantage if you have VFU supervisor training or other coaching/supervisory training, a master's degree in educational science, experience in school development, and/or leading professional development for teachers.

We also consider it an advantage if you have specialized knowledge in special education and experience in handling particularly complicated teaching situations.

As a person, you are secure, stable, and have good self-awareness, as well as being a clear leader in the classroom. You value and create good conditions for collaboration and build good relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues.

Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.

You will be part of the school's management team together with lead teachers and school management.

You will work closely with special educators, special teachers, and lead teachers.
